SCALIBIT ANTI-FRAUD DISCLAIMER
This Anti-Fraud Disclaimer forms an integral part of SCALIBIT’s Terms of Service (ToS) and Acceptable Use Policy (AUP), and is incorporated herein by reference.
If you suspect you have been targeted by fraud or have noticed any fraudulent activity falsely claiming to be from SCALIBIT.COM, please contact us immediately.
SCALIBIT.COM shall not be held liable, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, for any loss or damage, whether direct or indirect, resulting from fraudulent schemes conducted by third parties outside of SCALIBIT’s systems or official communication channels. Fraudulent activities can take many forms beyond those listed below. We strongly urge you to stay vigilant and exercise caution when handling your personal information.
Quick navigation to key parts of this notice
1. PHISHING
SCALIBIT.COM will never contact you via unsolicited email, SMS, or phone call to request passwords, full credentials, private keys, payment card information, or any other sensitive personal data. Official identity verification (for security, anti-fraud, or compliance purposes) may only be requested through your secure SCALIBIT Client Portal or official support ticket system. SCALIBIT representatives will never ask for sensitive information such as passwords or payment card details by direct email, phone, or instant messaging.
SCALIBIT does not collect or store your credit or debit card details directly, except where strictly required for transaction identification, reconciliation, or regulatory compliance. All payments are securely processed through approved third-party payment providers via the official SCALIBIT billing interface. We will never request your card information by email, phone, or ticket.
In some cases, where the Customer requests technical support related to their services or servers and such support requires logging into the server to perform diagnostics or resolve issues, our support engineers may require temporary access credentials (such as root or administrator login). This applies to all unmanaged infrastructure, including Virtual Machines (VPS, VDS), Cloud Services (Cloud Servers, Dedicated Cloud Servers), Cloud Compute (Standard Performance, High Performance, High Frequency), Optimized Cloud Compute (General Purpose, CPU Optimized, Memory Optimized, Storage Optimized), GPU Servers & GPU Cloud Instances, and Dedicated Servers or Bare Metal services. Crucially: These credentials will ONLY be requested within an active, official support ticket inside the Client Portal and only upon the Customer's specific request for intervention. SCALIBIT will NEVER ask for server passwords or access credentials via email, phone, or instant messaging applications (e.g., Telegram, WhatsApp, Discord). Any such access is provided voluntarily by the Customer and primarily at the Customer’s own risk, subject to the limitations of liability set forth in the Terms of Service. After the intervention is complete, Customers are strongly advised to promptly update their passwords. SCALIBIT shall not be liable for any damages, data loss, or unauthorized access arising from the Customer’s provision of access or failure to rotate credentials.
SCALIBIT will never request your SCALIBIT Client Portal (scalibit.com/login) login credentials under any circumstances. If you receive any message or call requesting such information, please consider it fraudulent and report it immediately.
Be aware of deceptive emails that may claim your mailbox is full, your password or account has expired, or that your account is suspended or will be deleted unless you “click to verify” or “reactivate.” Such messages are fraudulent and are not sent by SCALIBIT.
SCALIBIT will never ask you to confirm, unlock, verify, or reactivate your email account, Client Area, billing account, or any SCALIBIT service by clicking a link or by providing your password or full credentials via email.
Email Verification & One-Time Codes: For account registration (with or without an order) and for security updates such as changing a registered email address, SCALIBIT sends a verification code to the Customer’s email. This code is used solely to verify the ownership and validity of the email address provided and must be entered directly into the designated verification field within the SCALIBIT Client Portal. Crucially: This code is not a login password and cannot be used to access your account. SCALIBIT representatives will never ask you to read, provide, or share this code over the phone, email, or messaging apps. It is for verification purposes only and must never be shared with anyone.
If you receive a suspicious message, do not click any links or open attachments. Always log in directly via scalibit.com/login to check your account status safely.
If you are concerned about the legitimacy of a communication (Phone Call, Email, or SMS) you have received from SCALIBIT.COM, please contact us directly.
2. FAKE WEBSITES OR SCAM PAGES
Beware of websites or social media pages that falsely claim to represent SCALIBIT.COM or offer fake promotions. Always verify the URL and SSL certificate before entering your personal or payment information. SCALIBIT provides its services exclusively through its official website https://scalibit.com and its verified subdomains ending with .scalibit.com. This includes protection against deceptive look-alike domains, typosquatting, and internationalized domain name (IDN) homograph attacks. SCALIBIT has no affiliation with any other websites, platforms, marketplaces, or third-party domains claiming to offer SCALIBIT services.
Official communications are sent only from email addresses ending with @scalibit.com, except for explicitly documented third-party service providers listed on our website. Any email originating from a domain that imitates, resembles, modifies, is derived from, or is otherwise confusingly comparable to the SCALIBIT domain name should be considered unauthorized and potentially fraudulent.
3. PAYMENT OR INVOICE FRAUD
SCALIBIT.COM only issues invoices through our official billing system and your SCALIBIT Client Portal. We will never send you payment requests through personal email addresses or messaging applications. All invoice emails are informational; payments must be completed only inside the Client Portal.
Billing automation & reminders (indicative timelines, ToS §31.1, §31.10, §31.10.1):
The following describes standard procedures and may vary depending on service type or jurisdiction:
- Invoices are generated ten (10) days before the service due/renewal date, and an “invoice created” notice is sent to the email registered in your Client Portal.
- If payment has not been received close to the due date, automated payment reminders are sent.
- For overdue invoices, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd (final) overdue notices are sent starting from the due date.
- Unpaid invoices are subject to a three (3)-day grace period after the due date; if still unpaid, the related services may be suspended on day 3 overdue and terminated on day 5 overdue. Suspension/cancellation notices are also sent automatically.
Suspension does not stop billing obligations or extend service terms; bank transfer and other offline payments are subject to receipt and reconciliation times, and the account remains suspended until funds are posted. To verify any invoice or payment link, always check your Client Portal on the official SCALIBIT website and do not pay via third-party platforms or links not originating from https://scalibit.com.
SCALIBIT will never request cryptocurrency payments (including USDT or similar digital assets) to any wallet address other than the address explicitly displayed inside the official Client Portal invoice for your account.
4. REPORTING SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY
To report any suspicious activity, phishing attempt, scam, or fraudulent communication impersonating SCALIBIT, the SCALIBIT.COM website or domain, or falsely claiming to be associated with SCALIBIT or SCALIBIT.COM, please contact our Fraud Prevention Team at abuse@scalibit.com.
5. LEGAL NOTICE
SCALIBIT.COM reserves the right to investigate any suspected fraudulent or abusive behavior and cooperate fully with law enforcement authorities. Any attempts to impersonate SCALIBIT.COM or its staff, misuse its trademarks, or deceive customers may result in criminal prosecution and civil liability.
If SCALIBIT becomes aware of any websites, domains, fake or look-alike websites imitating the official SCALIBIT website, email addresses, social media accounts, or services impersonating or unlawfully using the SCALIBIT name, brand, trademarks, or official communication channels, it may take appropriate action. This includes, without limitation, the use of deceptive domain names, look-alike websites, or fraudulent email addresses and sender identities (e.g., email spoofing, domain spoofing, or unauthorized use of @scalibit.com-like addresses). Upon identification of such activities, SCALIBIT reserves the right to report such incidents to relevant law enforcement authorities, domain registrars, hosting providers, email service providers, and regulatory bodies, and to pursue all available legal remedies.
Defense Against Fraudulent Disputes: SCALIBIT proactively monitors for "friendly fraud" and unjustified disputes. In the event of a fraudulent chargeback or payment dispute, SCALIBIT will provide all relevant documentation to the bank or payment processor—including this Anti-Fraud Disclaimer, Terms of Service, Customer order records (including order timestamps and originating IP addresses, where available), Client Portal login IP address records (authentication and access timestamps, where available), service provisioning logs, and communication history—as evidence of service delivery and contractual acceptance, in accordance with applicable data protection laws, including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the UK GDPR, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) / California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), and other applicable U.S. state privacy laws. SCALIBIT reserves the right to recover all legal and administrative costs from the Customer, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
Failure to enforce any provision of this disclaimer shall not constitute a waiver of SCALIBIT’s rights.
6. DISCLAIMER
This Disclaimer is provided for informational purposes only and does not constitute a legal contract. SCALIBIT.COM makes no warranty that communications or transactions outside of its official channels are secure or legitimate. Customers are solely responsible for verifying the authenticity of any third-party correspondence or payment request.
