DOMAIN REGISTRATION AGREEMENT
This Domain Registration Agreement (“Agreement”) sets forth the terms and conditions between SCALIBIT.COM (“SCALIBIT”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) and the individual or entity registering a domain name (“Registrant”, “you”, or “your”). By registering, transferring, or renewing a domain through SCALIBIT, you agree to comply with this Agreement, ICANN policies, registry rules, and all applicable local, state, and federal laws of the United States, as well as all applicable foreign, national, and international laws and regulations — including but not limited to data protection, telecommunications, export control, and cybercrime laws.
1. Definitions
For clarity throughout this Agreement:
- “ICANN” means the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers, the global authority overseeing domain name system policies.
 - “Registry” refers to the entity authorized by ICANN to operate a specific top-level domain (TLD).
 - “Registrar” refers to SCALIBIT or its upstream accredited partners authorized to process domain registrations with the Registry.
 - “Registrant” refers to the legal holder of a domain name record in the Registry database.
 - “UDRP” means the Uniform Domain-Name Dispute-Resolution Policy adopted by ICANN.
 - “WHOIS” refers to the public database that stores contact information associated with registered domain names.

2. Registration Obligations
By registering a domain through our services, you agree to provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information, including your full name, contact details, and administrative, technical, and billing contacts. You must maintain this information and promptly update it upon any change. Failure to maintain accurate WHOIS data may result in suspension, cancellation, or termination of the domain under ICANN’s WHOIS Accuracy Program Specification.
You acknowledge and agree to comply with all applicable ICANN policies, registry rules, and registrar requirements, as updated from time to time.
3. Domain Ownership
Upon successful registration, you become the registrant and holder of the domain name for the duration of its registration term. Domain registration grants you the exclusive right to use, transfer, and renew the domain name, provided you comply with this Agreement and all applicable policies.
Registration does not confer ownership of the registry database record itself, but rather a limited right to use the domain name for the registration period. All domain names remain subject to the authority of ICANN and the respective Registry.
4. Renewals and Transfers
You are solely responsible for renewing your domain before its expiration date. SCALIBIT will send renewal reminders, but the final responsibility for timely renewal rests with you. Failure to renew may result in domain expiration, loss, or deletion, and recovery cannot be guaranteed.
Transfers between registrars are subject to ICANN’s Inter-Registrar Transfer Policy (IRTP-C) and may require authorization codes (EPP/Auth Codes). We are not responsible for domain loss due to late payment, expired payment methods, incorrect WHOIS data, or failure to act on renewal notices.
5. WHOIS Information and Privacy
ICANN requires the publication of WHOIS information for all registered domains. By default, certain contact details (such as your name, organization, and country) may be made public unless privacy services are used.
SCALIBIT may disclose WHOIS data to ICANN, the Registry, law enforcement, or competent authorities, as required by applicable law or contractual obligations. If you use WHOIS Privacy or Domain Protection services, disclosure may still occur in cases of legal or abuse-related requests.
6. Dispute Resolution
All disputes concerning domain ownership, registration, or use shall be resolved in accordance with ICANN’s Uniform Domain-Name Dispute-Resolution Policy (UDRP) and/or any applicable registry-specific dispute resolution procedures. You agree to be bound by these policies and to cooperate fully with any arbitration or court process arising from such disputes.
7. Domain Suspension or Termination
We may suspend or terminate a domain registration if you:
- Provide false, incomplete, or misleading registration information;
 - Fail to comply with ICANN or registry policies;
 - Engage in illegal, abusive, or fraudulent activities;
 - Violate this Agreement or related Terms of Service.

Domains may also be suspended or deleted upon ICANN directive, registry instruction, law enforcement request, or valid court order. SCALIBIT shall not be liable for damages arising from such actions.
8. Data Retention and Deletion
SCALIBIT retains registration data only as required by ICANN, the Registry, or applicable law. Upon deletion or transfer-out, data may be retained for audit, legal, or abuse-prevention purposes in accordance with ICANN’s Data Retention Specification. All data will be securely deleted once retention obligations expire.
9. Limitation of Liability
SCALIBIT is not responsible for any loss, damage, or interruption resulting from domain suspension, deletion, registry errors, or third-party disputes. In no event shall our liability exceed the total amount paid for the domain registration in the current term.
10. Changes to This Agreement
This Agreement may be updated periodically to reflect changes in ICANN policies, registry agreements, or legal requirements. The revised version shall become effective immediately upon posting on our website unless otherwise stated. Continued use of the Services after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
For reference, ICANN policies are available at icann.org/policy. Registrants are encouraged to review the Registrant Rights and Responsibilities as published by ICANN or any successor version thereof.
