SCALIBIT PRIVACY
Why Customer Privacy Matters To SCALIBIT.COM
The customer’s right to privacy is of great importance to SCALIBIT. We recognize that when a customer chooses to provide SCALIBIT with personal information and data, the customer places confidence in our ability to handle that information responsibly and securely.
SCALIBIT Acting As Data Controller
SCALIBIT acts as a Data Controller only for customer account, billing, authentication, and communication-related information collected during registration and service use. We are responsible for this information under applicable data protection laws.
SCALIBIT does not act as a Data Controller or a Data Processor for any data stored or transmitted on customer-managed or self-managed servers, including but not limited to:
- Virtual Machines: VPS, VDS, and Dedicated Cloud Servers
 - Cloud Services: Cloud Hosting, Cloud Servers, and Cloud Backup
 - Cloud Compute: Standard Performance, High Performance, and High Frequency
 - Optimized Cloud Compute: General Purpose, CPU Optimized, Memory Optimized, and Storage Optimized
 - Dedicated Servers: Enterprise-grade physical Dedicated Servers or Bare Metal configurations, available in multiple global locations.

SCALIBIT merely provides the infrastructure and has no access to or control over the customer’s hosted data. For detailed information about how we collect and use personal data, please refer to our Privacy Notice.
Note: For managed environments (such as Shared Web Hosting: cPanel Hosting, CWPpro Hosting, WordPress Hosting), SCALIBIT may act as a Data Processor, as defined in our Data Processing Agreement (DPA).
SCALIBIT Acting As Data Processor
If you store personal information on our servers, SCALIBIT generally acts as an Infrastructure Provider and not as a Data Processor. However, if you use our managed services (such as Shared Web Hosting: cPanel Hosting, CWPpro Hosting, WordPress Hosting) or request technical support that requires temporary access to customer systems or data, SCALIBIT may act as a Data Processor for that limited purpose. In such cases, our Data Processing Agreement (DPA) applies.
For clarity: “personal information stored on our servers” refers to customer-uploaded or hosted content (such as website data, databases, or emails) — not to the customer account or billing data held in SCALIBIT’s client system. The latter is processed by SCALIBIT as a Data Controller.
The Data Processing Agreement (DPA) referenced herein reflects the requirements of the European General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) and applies to SCALIBIT’s products and services offered in the State of California, the European Union, the European Economic Area, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and Türkiye.
Note that if you only use our services for processing personal data for purely personal or household activities and you are a natural individual, the EU Privacy Regulation does not apply to you and you do not need a DPA.
SCALIBIT’s Role for Specific Services
For Virtual Machines (VPS Hosting, VDS Hosting, Dedicated Cloud Servers), Cloud Services (Cloud Hosting, Cloud Servers, Cloud Backup), Cloud Compute (Standard Performance, High Performance, High Frequency), Optimized Cloud Compute (General Purpose, CPU Optimized, Memory Optimized, Storage Optimized), and Dedicated Servers / Bare Metal, SCALIBIT acts solely as a neutral infrastructure provider. We do not access, manage, or control any customer-stored data on these systems, and we do not assume the role of either a Data Controller or a Data Processor under GDPR for such services. The customer retains full administrative control and responsibility for all hosted data as the Data Controller.
However, for managed services or support interactions where SCALIBIT Technical Support Engineers are required to access customer environments, SCALIBIT may temporarily act as a Data Processor, and our Data Processing Agreement applies in those cases.
Note: If you are using SCALIBIT’s infrastructure for storing or processing personal data, you remain fully responsible for compliance with GDPR, KVKK, or any other applicable data protection regulations as the Data Controller.
We Encourage You To Keep Your Personal Details Updated
To ensure uninterrupted service, we strongly recommend keeping your contact details, such as your email address and phone number, up to date. You can easily update your personal details via your SCALIBIT Control Panel. SCALIBIT assumes no liability for communication issues caused by outdated or incorrect contact information.
